  1. I have always seemed to enjoy the unique aural qualities of 1980s rock globally. With American music, one cannot go wrong with the melodies of Billy Joel. Overall, I have no critiques.

Too add, I’d suggest The Cure, X Japan, or Eric Clapton. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qYS732zyYfU

  2. I am choosing your play-list for the second question of our assignment. Your commentary was helpful, I never listened to American 80s music. I do not think I will listen to it again though.

  3. I'm choosing your playlist for the second question of our assignment. Your blog provided me with some great information and insight into some of the greatest artists of the 80's. I was familiar with some of artists on your playlist and I think I will further my search into this genre. Found some really good aritsts and will continue listening, agreed, suggest some Eric Clapton.

  4. Im choosing your playlist for the first question. Even though i was born in the late 80's, 80's music is still definitely what i choose to listen to on a daily basis. Great job for hightlighting the popular songs! I would add Madonna, Cyndi Lauper or Aerosmith!

  5. Hi I'm choosing your playlist for the first question. I know well more than half of your playlist and grew up with these types of songs. My parents influenced me upon these songs so I can identify myself with them. I agree with Amanda about adding Cyndi Lauper that had her hit song as the title of the movie Girls Just Want To Have Fun. But overall, I think you did a great job of providing samples of 80's music.

  6. I am citing this as option 2. 80s music is the BEST. This was my first real taste of it and it is amazing. I listened of course to Journey before but I never looked at the other artists and your blog totally made me want to hear more. I don't know why I never considered listening to 80s music because I love 80s movies...Breakfast Club and Pretty In Pink are two of my favorite movies of all time. Thanks for a great project!

  8. Using this for #1. Can't argue with any of your choices though David Bowie and The Police are two artists I love from the 80's. Also, the Eagles and Santana were amazing bands that had a lot of radio time in the 80's and, of course, Micheal Jackson.
